Welcome to East Squeston

Let Us Build, Together

History of East Squeston

Our great city of East Squeston has a long and exciting history, one of enterprise and entrepreurship. Of trajedy and triumph. Of beauty and building. Together, let us take a brief look into the storied past of our great city.

The Founding

The Founding of East Squeston is possibly the most important moment in the history of our great city. The beginning, the First Building's groundwork was laid by our forefathers in the center of what is now Downtown. The Fahrgoen Building, from these humble roots, has stood and grown as we have grown and our city has grown for generations.

Early Life

The earliest days of East Squeston life was exciting but full of hardships. Small homes popped up around the Fahrgoen Building to house the workers and their families. These workers would gather wood from The Bog, establishing our historic forestry industry. These homes would eventually be caught up in the swell from the development of the Fahrgoen Building, so the workers began to relocate closer to The Bog. From this point forward, The Bog became and important and inviting part of East Squeston, and some of our oldest families still own property there.

Commerce

Of course, citizens cannot live off the land and building alone. And so our more entrepreneurial families began establishing trade and business opportunities from their former homes and the nearby communities. Downtown began booming as more and more businesses sprang up, each offering goods and services available only in East Squeston. The curios of the Collins family attracted wealthy parties from across the nation, and their success today lives on in Loulou Collins, proprietor of the West East Squeston Mall.

Administration

As the city's wealth grew, and the city grew, and we, as East Squestons grew, it became clear that a more consistent administrative body was necessary. And so it was made official in the Fahrgoen Building's fourth floor the establishment of the civic body of East Squeston, both in name and in function with our first City Council. While the names of those Council members has been lost in the First Fahrgoen Fire, we know their contributions solidified the foundation of our great city. And upon that foundation, we can build and grow toegether.

The Fahrgoen Fires

Perhaps no moment in our history has put our way of life in jeopardy as the Fahrgoen Fires. Records are uncertain as a great deal of documentation was lost in each fire, however historians speculate that at least three times portions of the Fahrgoen Building have caught fire, setting back the building and the building in kind. Mayor Norman Mann assures us all that the office of Mayor Norman Mann will do its best to ensure the safety and security of all records going forth during the mayoral term of Mayor Norman Mann.

Mayor Norman Mann

As a conseuqence of the Fahrgoen Fires, we currently have no records of the mayor's office before Mayor Norman Mann's inauguration. Mayor Norman Mann assures us all that the office of Mayor Norman Mann will do its best to uncover the history of the mayoral office in due time. However, Mayor Norman Mann is also an important historical figure, and no discussion of East Squeston's history is complete without mentioning Mayor Norman Mann. In addition to being the longest-serving mayor, Mayor Norman Mann headed the initiatives to establish the East Squeston Tourism Department, and to bring the glory of our great city to the outside world in earnest. Mayor Norman Mann believes and emodies the ultimate goal of East Squeston, so let us build, together.

THAC-O

Business in East Squeston was booming in the 1970's, and our forestry industry in particular was the central force in driving our economic growth forward. In 1974, in order to protect the interests of our forestry industry and its workers, the workers of The Bog, with the assistance of Mayor Norman Mann, formed the Timber Harvester's Association Co-Op. With the forestry industry now in the capable and expereinced hands of the workers themselves, our thriving forestry industry strengthened to even greater heights, while doing its best to preserve the natural beauty and ecosystem of The Bog. Mayor Norman Mann often refers to the THAC-O as one of the greatest successes of East Squeston.

Today

East Squeston continues to grow and thrive under the hard work our citizens and the unparalled guidance of Mayor Norman Mann. Every day awaits exciting new opportunities for young and old, for locals and for visitors. Whether it's world-class food in Flavourtown, or thrilling athletic competition at the Eden Hughes Recreation Center, or the wonders that await in the Corvid Festival, you can bet that your time in East Squeston will be unlike anything you've ever seen before.
